Entry Requirements

  • Applicants not offering an Applied/Mechanics option in A-level Mathematics must have at least AS Physics at a minimum of Grade B as an alternative
  • International students must have an internationally recognised English language qualification

Curriculum

  • Year One includes major active learning activities: an icebreaker group project as well as a one-week team project to design, build and test either a small rocket or a wind-powered car. In the final year, you will learn about their applications in Heat Transfer, Structural Failure Modes and Vibration and Control.
  • Throughout the programme, you will study the complementary topics of Mathematics, Computing, Materials Science, Electrical Circuits and Computer-Aided Design using the package ProENGINEER. Design projects, and a major individual project in your final year, will help you bring all these various strands together.
