Entry Requirements
- An Honours Degree, usually at the 2:1 level or higher, preferably in:
- Archaeology
- Anthropology
- Or related fields
- Or an international equivalent such as a GPA of 3.0 or above.
- Score of 7.0 or above in IELTS with no component under 6.5; or 600 or above in TOEFL PBT; or 102 or above with no element below 25 in TOEFL IBT; or an equivalent qualification.
Curriculum
The MA in Archaeology can be studied on a full-time and part-time basis, and allows you to choose from four specialist strands:
- Prehistory
- Egypt/ Ancient India/ Near East
- Roman Archaeology
- Historic Archaeology.
All share a compulsory module in research and study skills (RSS). This is a compulsory module common to all pathways offered within the Course (see below). Thus all routes offer a preparatory training to undertaking a PhD.
