Singapore – Raffles Fashion Marketers did it! Class of 2015 has successfully organised their first fashion show themed ‘NOIR’ at Chijmes Singapore on 10 September 2015. Tickets were sold out and the show received an overwhelming response from the guests on the high standard and professionalism in the organisation of this event.
The fashion show featured three Raffles Fashion Entrepreneurs’ collections. The show opened with ‘Alive’ by ELSKA, a label by Raffles Fashion Designer Ace CHIA. It was Ace’s very first choreographed fashion show. “After almost 3 years of building brand credibility for Elska, presence in the press/magazines, and a strong customer base, I feel I am ready to go back to my roots and design clothes. With this, I feel alive again, thus, the collection name.” said Ace.
Next up was ‘Jardin de L’amour’ by PAUL NATHAPHOL, a label by Raffles Fashion Designer Paul NATHAPHOL. His main concept behind this collection was the beauty and delicacy of the garden full of the scented flowers and tranquility. Situated against the backdrop of the Eiffel Tower this garden offers the juxtaposition of hard and soft. “I think this is a really good platform for all our designers to showcase our work, our ideas and our thoughts through the arts of fashion.” Paul NATHAPHOL shared.
The finale for NOIR fashion show was ‘Black – The light that never goes out’ by AMOS ANANDA, a label of Raffles Fashion Marketer Amos Ananda YEO. In celebration of its 1st Anniversary, AMOS ANANDA had a pop-up booth at the event venue and released its 01 Year Anniversary tee together with ‘SAY NO TO DOG MEAT’ tee in support of Animal Lovers League Official.
The hair and make-up for the models were made possible with the kind support from TONI&GUY and MAC respectively.
In Raffles, we believe in giving students hands-on projects for them to experience the challenges ahead and appreciate the fruit of success.
