Bachelor of Science (Honours) Microbiology
About
Microbiology is the study of microorganisms such as bacteria, viruses, algae, and fungi. While some microorganisms cause diseases, many play essential roles in agriculture, industry, environmental sustainability, and medicine. This programme provides students with a strong foundation in microbiology, integrating key disciplines such as physiology, immunology, biochemistry, genetics, molecular biology, and medicine. Students gain essential scientific knowledge and practical skills to address real-world challenges.
The programme also enhances research, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills, equipping students to excel in diverse career paths. With a strong emphasis on lifelong learning and independent thinking, graduates are prepared to tackle complex scientific problems and adapt to the evolving field of microbiology.
