Bachelor of Economics (Hons) Global Economics
About
Global Economic Developments play a crucial role in shaping the activities and financial markets of multinational corporations. Globalization drives business expansion, trade, investment, and economic interactions among countries, creating both opportunities and challenges in the international economic landscape. The interconnectedness of global economies means that economic decisions and activities in one country can have widespread effects—either positive or negative—on others. As a relatively new field, Global Economics strategically examines and explains economic behaviors and decision-making in an international context.
The Global Economics degree programme at UTAR is designed to equip students with analytical skills and strategic knowledge to understand and discuss global economic issues, international trade trends, and investment opportunities. These competencies are highly valued by organizations, particularly multinational corporations engaged in global trade and investment.
