Bachelor of Economics (Hons) Financial Economics
About
The Financial Economics Degree Programme at UTAR is designed to equip students with a strong theoretical foundation alongside the empirical skills necessary to analyze economic and financial issues. The curriculum integrates microeconomics, macroeconomics, quantitative analysis, research, and finance, providing a comprehensive understanding of financial systems and market behavior.
Graduates of the Bachelor of Economics (Honours) in Financial Economics are eligible for exemptions from select MACS professional examinations. Additionally, UTAR has partnered with The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) to offer students access to the CIMA Professional Qualification. Through this collaboration, students can complete their professional qualification alongside their degree by passing only three Case Study exams, enhancing their career prospects in the financial industry.
