Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN)

Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN) is a prominent private university in Malaysia, located just 25 miles south of Kuala Lumpur. Established in 1976 and originally known as Institut Latihan Sultan Ahmad Shah (ILSAS), UNITEN became a full-fledged university in 1997, offering a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs.

On-campus apartments are available for over 4,000 students. Bedrooms are either single or double and an apartment can accommodate two to six students. 

Facilities per unit: 

1. The premium units include water heater, fridge, lounge, air conditioning.
2. The non-high end are equipped with basic facilities such as, sofa, kitchenettes and modern toilets.

• Deluxe Single (4 students per apartment) - RM440
• Deluxe Twin sharing (4 students per apartment) - RM320
• Superior Single (6 students per apartment) - RM340
• Superior Sharing (6 students per apartment) - RM270

All the apartments include the following facilities:

• Room inventory: single bed & mattress, side table, wardrobe, noticeboard, a ceiling fan and lamp;
• the warden of the student units makes sure that any damages will be repaired immediately.

UNITEN has two campuses. Putrajaya Campus was established in 1997 and is located about 38 km south of Kuala Lumpur. The campus has an area of 214 hectares. 

UNITEN's Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Campus in Pahang began on 13 February 2001 because of the rapid growth of Putrajaya campus.

• Eligibility: Students with outstanding academic results pursuing Foundation or Degree programs at UNITEN.
• Award: 100% tuition fee waiver.
• Open To: Local and International students pursuing Foundation or Degree programs in all fields.

2. YCU Access Scholarship for Diploma Students 2024

• Eligibility: Students with financial need pursuing a Diploma at UNITEN.
• Award: Up to 10,000 MYR in tuition fee waiver.
• Open To: Local and International students pursuing Diploma programs across all fields.

3. UNITEN Study Scholarship - MARA

• Eligibility: Students pursuing Foundation or Degree programs under MARA.
• Award: Up to 100,800 MYR, covering tuition fees, accommodation, expenses, and job placement.
• Open To: Local students (under MARA) pursuing Foundation or Degree programs across all fields.

4. UNITEN Global Scholarship 2024

• Eligibility: International students enrolling in undergraduate or postgraduate programs at UNITEN.
• Award: Up to 4,500 MYR in tuition fee waiver.
• Open To: International students enrolling in undergraduate and postgraduate programs in all fields.

5. UNITEN YCU Sports Excellence Scholarship
