About
The Diploma in Information Technology is designed to equip students aspiring for a career in the Information Technology sector with essential knowledge, skills, and theoretical understanding necessary for effective exploration of technology-based ventures.
This program exposes students to programming principles and techniques, operating systems for development and maintenance, and system analysis. Additionally, it helps students deepen their understanding of data communication and data structures, enabling them to thrive in the dynamic Information Technology industry.
Microsoft content and cloud-based labs are integrated into the curriculum, offering students the opportunity to earn up to 10 Digital Badges or Certifications based on Microsoft Content embedded in the courses. Furthermore, the program facilitates credit transfer, allowing students to transition smoothly from a Diploma to a Bachelor's Degree, potentially saving time and costs.
Moreover, through the APEL initiative, students can leverage their prior learning experiences to gain admission, with the possibility of further reducing study duration and costs.

Entry Requirements
Programme Entry Requirements
- Possess SPM with at least THREE (3) credits in any subjects (inclusive of Mathematics or any equivalent qualification); OR
- A pass in Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM), with a minimum of Grade C [Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA 2.00)] in any subject or any equivalent qualification and a credit in Mathematics at SPM level or its equivalent; OR
- A pass in Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM) with a minimum grade of Maqbul (pass) and a credit in Mathematics at SPM level or its equivalent; OR
- A Certificate (Level 3, MQF) in any qualification with at least a CGPA of 2.00; OR
- A pass in any qualification equivalent to certificate (Level 3, MQF);OR
- Possess SKM Level 3 and a credit in Mathematics at SPM level or its equivalent; OR
- Other relevant & equivalent qualifications recognised by the Malaysian Government.
Notes:
- Candidates with a pass in Mathematics at an SPM level or its equivalent may be admitted if the certificate programme contains subjects in Mathematics that are equivalent to Mathematics at SPM level.
- “Candidates with a pass in Mathematics at SPM level and without a related certificate need to
- take a reinforcement Mathematics subject with appropriate topics in the discipline of Computing at the beginning of the study.”
