About
The industry-relevant BSc (Hons.) Accounting & Finance is recognised by renowned global professional bodies and focuses on key areas comprising corporate reporting, financial control, audit engagement, treasury, performance management, regulatory compliance and professional ethics. In line with the goal of the International Federation of Accountants on “Accounting for Sustainability”, you will also be guided to embrace sustainability when making professional decisions in your future career.
This degree provides you with an in-depth understanding of how accounting and finance fit into the broader context of business and management. You will be equipped with vital critical thinking and problem-solving skills needed to succeed in today’s dynamic business world characterised by constant change and innovation. As digitalisation is reinventing the key competencies of the talents in the accounting and finance profession, data management and analytics related modules are being introduced in our enhanced curriculum.
In addition to these technical skills, the curriculum places importance on the development of soft skills such as communication, negotiation, teamwork and leadership which are essential for personal and professional development and growth. Our two internships offers valuable opportunity to acquire expanded skill sets, establish a broader professional network, and boost self-confidence. On successful completion of the programme, graduates will also be awarded a degree from Lancaster University in addition to the Sunway University degree.

Specific Requirements
- Credit in Mathematics at SPM level or its equivalent
Additional Requirements for Certain International Students
International students from certain countries that want to take some Sunway University degree programmes (for example programmes in partnership with Lancaster University) will need to take and pass our online six-month International Preparatory Programme (IPP). This is a requirement to enrol on a Sunway degree programme that also leads to a degree awarded by Sunway’s partner institution. Students are required to pass all the subjects with grade C or above to progress to the degree programme.

Note: For Malaysian students entering using an entry qualification whereby the medium of instruction is not in English, MQA requires the student to possess a MUET or international English proficiency qualification in order to register for the programme.
