ASSOCIATION OF CHARTERED CERTIFIED ACCOUNTANTS (ACCA)

ACCA trained professionals are the most preferred finance professionals these days. Their employers know their strategic knowledge, professional values, and, more importantly, their technical ability to deliver within every aspect and area of the profession. 

The ACCA qualification consists of many multi disciplines and interrelated fields. With it, students will be able to account, finance, conduct business, apply corporate law, govern and even understand business ethics. ACCA embraces these skills through their modern work program in order to ensure a robust career for all students. 

ACCA graduates are conferred the title of Certified Chartered Accountants after the successful completion of the program. Afterwards, they will have an opportunity to evaluate and specialize in other areas of practice. These practice areas include Advisory and Consultancy, Audit and Assurance, Financial Reporting, Financial Management, Performance Management, Risk Management, Sustainability, and Taxation.

Any one of these:

ACCA FOUNDATION IN ACCOUNTANCY (FIA) / CERTIFIED ACCOUNTING TECHNICIAN (CAT): Completed

SIJIL TINGGI PERSEKOLAHAN MALAYSIA (STPM): Min. Grade C+ (NGMP 2.33) in any 2 subjects

A LEVEL: Min. Grade D in any 2 subjects

UNIFIED EXAMINATION CERTIFICATE (UEC): Min. 5Bs including English and Mathematics

AUSTRALIAN MATRICULATION (AUSMAT): Min. 70.00 ATAR in Australian Year 12

CANADIAN INTERNATIONAL MATRICULATION PROGRAMME (CIMP): Min. average of 60%

LCCI LEVEL 4: Pass

OTHER MQA APPROVED FOUNDATION QUALIFICATION: Min. average of 60% or CGPA 2.50

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS Other equivalent qualifications recognised by the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) or Malaysian Government will be considered on a case-by-case basis

English Requirements:

• Local: MUET Band 2 or IELTS 4.0 or TOEFL PBT(550) / iBT(30-31)
• International: MUET Band 4 or IELTS 5.5 or TOEFL PBT(550) / iBT(46)

NOTE:

• Students who possess relevant qualifications may be entitled to ACCA qualification exemptions. For further information on exemption, kindly refer to the ACCA website.
• Students who have completed a full year preparatory / foundation study in English may be exempted from meeting the English requirements.

Mata Pelajaran Pengajian Umum (MPU) Subjects

The Ministry of Education (MOE) requires all students to take Mata Pelajaran Umum (MPU) (i.e., General Studies) within the duration of their studies. Each institution determines the specific subjects that students must complete based on their programme and level of study. The MPU subjects at MCKL include:

• Falsafah dan Isu Semasa
• Penghayatan Etika dan Peradaban
• Bahasa Melayu Komunikasi 2 (For international students)
• Character Formation
• Bahasa Kebangsaan A (For local students who do not have credit in SPM BM)
• Integrity and Anti-Corruption

These subjects help ensure students meet the Ministry’s educational requirements while fostering ethical, cultural, and professional development.
