Master of Science in Dentistry (MSc)

About

The Master of Science in Dentistry program within the Faculty of Dentistry is designed to provide students with the foundational education required to become dental practitioners, while also introducing a unique educational system aimed at promoting the development of a new academic discipline in dental medicine as a leader in oral health science.  Students in this program gain hands-on experience in their chosen areas of interest, allowing them to acquire practical knowledge and skills. Upon completion of the program, students may choose to specialize in specific areas of dentistry and pursue further research at the doctoral level.

Entry Requirements

Any of these:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Level 6, MOH) in the field of dentistry with a minimum CGPA of 2.75 or equivalent, as accepted by the HEP Senate
  • Bachelor’s Degree (Level 6, MOH) in the field of Dentistry or equivalent with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 and did not reach a CGPA of 2.75 may be admitted subject to rigorous internal assessment
  • Bachelor’s Degree (Level 6 MOH) in the field of Dentistry or equivalent but CGPA of 2.50 may be admitted subject to a minimum of 5 years working experience in the relevant field.

English Proficiency Requirements (International Students):

  • International English Language Testing System (IELTS) score of 5.0 or its equivalent.

If a student does not meet this requirement, HEPs must offer English proficiency courses to ensure that the student’s proficiency is sufficient to meet the needs of the program.
