The establishment of INTEC DoNation initiative in December 2021 is desired to contribute back to the community by channelling fundings in long-term and sustainable impacts. The government in 2022 budget is committed to ensure the survival of people as Malaysia is slowly moving from the pandemic to the endemic state. However, the nation is now struggling with thousands unemployment cases in which 70% of them are the youth between 15 – 34 years old.
For the past 40 years, INTEC was trusted by the government agencies like Jabatan Perkhidmatan Awam (JPA), Yayasan Peneraju Pendidikan Bumiputera (YPPB), Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA) scholarship recipients to build a solid foundation before they went on to pursue undergraduates and professional programmes in some of the best universities in the world. 2022 sees the commitment of INTEC Education College in giving back to the nation through INTEC DoNation initiative.
INTEC DoNation is the centre for four other focused initiatives which are INTEC Shared Future, Tabung Pusat Islam, Zakat and Waqf. At the moment, two of the initiative were launched, the INTEC Shared Future and Tabung Pusat Islam.
INTEC Shared Future (ISF)
With the objective to improve the standard of living through education, ISF will fund underprivileged students not only for the education but also the living expenses and IT devices throughout the study. Students will be nurtured for comprehensive skills and linked with the industries for brighter career opportunities. This initiative is outcome-based, and evidence of success will be presented to collaborators at regular intervals.
Tabung Pusat Islam (TPI)
Pusat Islam at INTEC was established in 2010 and for the first time INTEC DoNation enables the accessibility to the surrounding community. Through this initative, Pusat Islam will be open as a multi functionary public/community area that is friendly to Muslims and non-Muslims. Used to be the mosque for muslim Friday Prayer, the initiative includes bringing back the glory of Pusat Islam by becoming a modern tahfiz and comprehensive religious centre that promotes friendly environment. Pusat Islam INTEC is active in volunteering works for natural disasters since 2010.
