English Language Requirements:
- IELTS: An academic score of 6.5 or higher.
- TOEFL IBT: an overall score of 83 or higher with a minimum score of 20 in each component.
- CAEL: 70 overall or higher (each band 60 or higher).
- PTE: 59 overall or higher.
Curriculum
The MA in CAST is a full-time program and is normally completed in 12 months. You can choose a coursework or major research paper option.
- Coursework option: 7 one-term, half-credit courses (including 2 required courses), and a two-term colloquium.
- Major research paper option: 5 one-term, half-credit courses (including 2 required courses), a major research paper, and a two-term colloquium.
CAST is a multi-campus graduate program. You can take courses at, and select supervisors from, either our Waterloo or Brantford campuses.
