UOW Malaysia’s Foundation Programs (Foundation Studies and Foundation in Arts) are one-year multidisciplinary pre-university programs designed to prepare students for further studies in fields such as (but not limited to):

- Digital & Creative Media
This adaptable program ensures that students gain a solid understanding of key subjects relevant to their chosen degree discipline, while also covering a range of other topics to provide a well-rounded education and essential 21st-century soft skills. It encourages students to explore innovative methods, concepts, and ideas, promoting independent thinking, critical analysis, as well as public speaking and presentation skills. Upon completion, students will be fully equipped to smoothly transition into various degree programs offered at UOW Malaysia.

- UEC: Min. 3 Credits
English Entry Requirement:
- Credit (SPM / 1119 / UEC / O-Levels English)
- Band 4.0 in IELTS; or a min score of 30 (IBT) or 5 (Essentials-Online) in TOEFL; or Cambridge English CAE & CPE (from 2015) (140); or PTE Academic (36) or MUET Band 3; or UOW Malaysia English Entrance Test (60)
