Foundation in Design
About
The Foundation in Design at Taylor’s College equips students with essential skills for future studies in interior design, graphic design, multimedia design, fashion design, and interior architecture. This programme prepares students for a transition to the Bachelor of Design in Creative Media, Bachelor of Arts in Interior Architecture, and Bachelor of Fashion Design Technology. Beyond the classroom, students gain real-world exposure through field trips, industry talks, and competitions. They develop key skills in design processes, visual storytelling, problem-solving, and creative thinking, fostering a strong foundation for success in the dynamic design industry.

Entry Requirements
Any one of these:
- SIJIL PELAJARAN MALAYSIA (SPM): Pass with minimum of 5 credits
- O LEVEL: Pass with minimum of 5 credits
- UNIFIED EXAMINATION CERTIFICATE (UEC): Pass with minimum of 3Bs
- OTHER QUALIFICATION: Any other equivalent qualifications recognised by Malaysian Government
Note: Students without a Pass in SPM or equivalent Art subject must Pass the Visual Aptitude Test (VAT) or Drawing Test or have a design portfolio review.

- IELTS: Overall Band 4.0
- TOEFL: iBT 31
- MUET: Band 2
- UEC: C8
- TAYLOR'S EET: Overall Score 4.0
- TAYLOR'S IEN: Level 1- Grade B or Level 2- Grade C
- COMPLETED HIGH SCHOOL (YEAR 11) THAT WAS CONDUCTED IN ENGLISH
