The Master of Education at Sunway University is a flexible, coursework-based programme designed for education professionals. It replaces exams with project-based assessments and offers both full-time and part-time study options. With six learning blocks per year, students engage in coursework and research tailored to their schedules. Entry Requirements
Academic Requirements
- A Bachelor’s Degree (Level 6 Malaysian Qualifications Framework, MQF) or its equivalent, with a minimum CGPA of 2.50, as accepted by the Academic Senate.
- A Bachelor’s Degree (Level 6 MQF) or its equivalent, not meeting a CGPA of 2.50, can be accepted subject to a minimum of five (5) years of working experience in a relevant field.
Other Qualifications
- An APEL.A Certificate (APEL T-7) (Recognition of Prior Learning).
- Any other qualifications will be considered on a case-to-case basis.
Specific Requirements

Students with a non-related bachelor's degree (minimum CGPA of 2.00) or without the relevant work experience have the opportunity to enroll in the programme upon the completion of a prerequisite subject.
English Language Requirements
- English Competency Requirement for International Students: For postgraduate studies, international students are required to achieve a minimum score of 6.0 for the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) OR its equivalent.
