About

The Bachelor of Computer Science (Honours) at SEGi University is a three-year programme designed to equip students with specialised knowledge and practical skills for a wide range of careers in the rapidly evolving IT sector. This programme offers four distinct specialisations, allowing students to tailor their education to their career aspirations:  

- Artificial Intelligence: Focuses on machine learning, natural language processing, robotics, and decision-making systems, with an emphasis on both theoretical foundations and real-world applications.  
- Digital Transformation: Explores the integration of digital technologies to enhance business efficiency, productivity, and innovation, covering areas such as electronic design automation (EDA) and semiconductor manufacturing.  
- Cybersecurity: Develops technical and analytical skills to protect systems, networks, and data from cyber threats, while offering opportunities to pursue professional cybersecurity certifications.  
- Data Science: Provides a multidisciplinary approach to extracting insights from data using statistical and computational methods, covering data collection, analysis, modeling, and communication for various industry applications.  

With a diverse student community representing over 90 nationalities, SEGi University fosters an international learning environment that encourages global networking and cross-cultural collaboration. This program is available in both full-time and weekend study modes, offering flexibility to accommodate students' diverse schedules and commitments.

Entry Requirements

  • Pass in Matriculation or Foundation studies or STPM with minimum CGPA of 2.0 and minimum Grade C in any 2 subjects AND

a) O-Level / SPM – Add Maths subject OR

b) O-Level / SPM Maths + Science / ICT / Engineering subject *
* students may need to take a bridging course (i.e., additional 3 credits of Mathematics for Computing) during 1st semester of Degree study

  • Pass in STPM-Science with minimum Grade C in Mathematics and Science / ICT subject
  • Pass in Diploma in Computer Science or Information Technology or other relevant field with minimum of CGPA 2.50 from higher education institute recognised by the Malaysian Government
  • Pass in Diploma in Computer Science or Information Technology or other relevant field with minimum of CGPA 2.00 from higher education institute recognised by the Malaysian Government AND pass SEGi internal evaluation process

English Proficiency Requirements For international student:

  • IELTS with minimum of score 5.0 or equivalent.
