Civil engineering is a broad discipline that encompasses studies on structures and the natural resources such as water, soil and the environment. It is also considered as an important technological discipline towards the betterment of mankind. The faculty offers an undergraduate programme which is recognised by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA). The programme has also been certified with the ISO 9001:2008 certificate.

Entry Requirements
MALAYSIAN
- Pass STPM or equivalent with a minimum PNGK of 2.00 and grade of C (NGMP 2.00) in two (3) subjects including Pengajian Am; OR
- Pass STAM with a minimum grade of Jayyid Jiddan and SPM grade of C in five (5) subjects including Bahasa Melayu and Mathematics*; OR
- Pass Matriculation / Foundation / Asasi from Public or Private Higher Education Institutions with minimum CGPA of 2.00 and SPM grade of C in three (3) subjects including Bahasa Melayu; OR
- Pass Diploma programme in relevant field with minimum CGPA of 2.50 and SPM grade of C in three (3) subjects including Bahasa Melayu; OR
- Other equivalent qualification recognized by Government of Malaysia
AND
- Malaysian University English Test (MUET) Band 2.
AND
- Meet the faculty specific requirements
INTERNATIONAL
- Academic
- Senior High School / Senior Secondary School / Other Equivalent Pre-University Examinations from the Government School (12 Years). OR
- A-Level / Diploma in the related field; OR
- Other certificates recognized by Malaysia Qualifications Agency (MQA) & senate of the university
- English
Students must obtain:
- A band score of 5.5 and above in IELTS; OR
- A score of 500 and above in TOEFL or 59 and above in TOEFL IBT; OR
- Completion of ELS Certified Intensive English Programme (CIEP) Level 107 or higher

Curriculum
The undergraduate programme is implemented to encompass four (4) thrust areas, which are :
• Structures and Materials - Civil engineering materials, mechanics of materials, dynamics and static, theory and design of structures and buildings, contract and estimation, principles an practices of construction and management.
• Geotechnic & Transportation - Soil mechanics, foundation engineering and materials, geology, highway design and planning, traffic and transportation.
• Hydraulics & Hydrology - Fluid mechanics and designs of surface and underground water resources system, dams, sewerage systems, water reticulation & drainage and irrigation, offshore, port and hydraulic structures.
• Environmental - Monitoring and control of environmental qualities, drinking water, waste water, disposal and solid wastes, thus, ensuring the natural resources is utilised in a manner that guarantees the well being of mankind and environmental stability.
