About
This programme aims to equip you with cutting edge expertise to plan, treat and rehabilitate a range of simple to advanced partially or fully edentulous patients using dental implants. It is Malaysia’s first and only MQA accredited Postgraduate Diploma in Implant Dentistry. Along with an evidence-based syllabus on treatments, prostheses, techniques and materials, students will also receive one-to-one supervision for surgical and prosthetic stages for actual patients. Entry Requirements
Bachelor of Dental Surgery or equivalent qualification. Registered as a dental surgeon with the Malaysian Dental Council (MDC) or equivalent in the student’s home country. Having at least two years post-graduation clinical experience.
• Participants who possess a current Annual Practice Certificate (APC) to practise dentistry in Malaysia.
• Participants who are eligible to practise dentistry in Malaysia with a Temporary Practice Certificate (TPC).
• All candidates need to be issued an APC or TPC (whichever is applicable) that is specific to the IMU Oral Health Centre (OHC) to be eligible to attend the clinical sessions in the centre during the period of the study
. • Able to demonstrate an interest in the use of dental implants with appropriate baseline knowledge and skills in oral surgery and restorative dentistry. (Evidence such as CPD certificates must be provided). Entry Requirements

• Implant Treatment of Partial Edentulism (IPE)
• Implant Practice I (IP1)
• Implant Treatment Of Complete Edentulism (ICE)
• Entrepreneurship, Professionalism and Managing Complications (EPC)
• Implant Practice II (IP2)
Perform implant treatment at IMU Oral Health Centre
• Manage deficient bone volume using Densah Burs and Guided Bone Regeneration on patients at IMU Oral Health Centre
• Perform Computer Guided Implant Surgery using modern implant planning softwares
• Acquire entrepreneurship skills and soft skills from experts in the field of Implant Dentistry
• Comprehend implant planning and treatment of fully edentulous patients at IMU Oral Health Centre
