About
This course covers the broad range of civil engineering disciplines related to structural, water, geotechnical, transportation engineering and civil engineering materials.
Throughout the course you’ll learn how to apply scientific and engineering principles to real-life engineering problems. You’ll learn how to address complex problems and develop innovative solutions that are beneficial to an organisation and the wider community. You will also gain an insight into the social, cultural, global and environmental responsibilities of the modern engineer while designing civil engineering infrastructures which meet international standards and encompass best practice. Entry Requirements
Entry for applicants with previous Tertiary, VET, life or work experience: Prerequisites of English and mathematics as for year 12 school leavers (or equivalent). Entry will be based on their performance in:
- a Certificate IV in a related discipline OR
- a Diploma in any discipline OR
- successful completion of relevant study at an accredited higher education institution equivalent to at least two Deakin University units OR
- other evidence of academic capability judged to be equivalent for example relevant work or life experience
IELTS / English language requirements
- Overall IELTS score of 6.0 with no band less than 6.0 (or equivalent).
