Entry Requirements

  • Students in year three of the Bachelor of Education course are able to express their interest in undertaking the final year as an honours student. Such students who have attained a Grade Point Average (GPA) of at least 5.50 on their complete year 3 results as well as having demonstrated high proficiency in teaching practice may then be invited to join the honours program. In addition, students should have gained a Credit result or better in the research method unit ESP318 in semester 2 of year 3. It should be noted that the minimum GPA may be raised at the discretion of the Head of school.
  • Candidates for the Bachelor of Education with Honours shall be qualified for entry if they have completed three years of the Bachelor of Education course with a grade point average of at least 5.5 (where Credit = 5 and Distinction = 6) in the third year of the course and have obtained a Credit result or higher for the unit ESP318 Introduction to Research methods
  • Candidates for the degree shall complete the degree requirements, as hereinafter prescribed, in not less than four separate years of full-time study (or its equivalent)] and not more than nine years from the time of first enrolment.
